Hamburg, 20 November 2024 – Aquila Capital’s AC One Planet ELTIF fund has won the prestigious Scope Award 2025 in the category ELTIF - Private Markets Infrastructure. This underlines Aquila Capital’s ambitious strategy in sustainable investment and innovative financial solutions for infrastructure projects.
AC One Planet ELTIF, a European Long-Term Investment Fund (ELTIF), provides access to broadly diversified and sustainable infrastructure investments for all investor groups, including private investors. For this purpose, the fund invests directly and broadly diversified in unlisted assets and financing in the areas of renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure, contributing to the energy transition and the achievement of global climate goals. At least 80% of the fund’s capital is invested in projects that pursue a sustainable investment strategy and thus actively contribute to climate change mitigation. The objective is to combine financial returns with positive environmental and social impacts. AC One Planet ELTIF was the first ELTIF 2.0 in the market and is classified as an article 9 sustainability fund according to the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).
The Scope Awards are among the most prestigious awards in the asset management industry in German-speaking countries. They recognise investment companies that deliver outstanding performance in their respective categories and offer the most compelling fund concepts. In the Private Markets Infrastructure category, Aquila Capital impressed with its longstanding expertise, innovative investment strategy and demonstrable contribution to sustainability goals. The AC One Planet ELTIF combines the proven liquidity concept of open-ended real estate funds with the European-regulated ELTIF in an open-ended mutual fund for infrastructure for the first time.
